Meet Mahtomedi Community Education instructor Swetha Avula!
Her classes include adult and child paint-dates, youth painting classes, and Henna workshops. Ms. Avula shared this about her classes, “Fine art is my passion. I am constantly creating meaningful experiences through my art, which resonates with audiences globally. I also enjoy sharing my knowledge of the arts with my community. Students learn mixed medium and fine arts skills with lots of fun added to the class. I believe learning and having a fun environment is a good art class.”
The popular Paint-Date classes are one of the classes that Ms. Avula shared, which makes her most proud because of the impact of the creative bonding experience for participants. She shared this about the Paint-Date experience, “This class is all about a wonderful and creative bonding experience! A Paint-Date class is a fantastic way for children and their parents or grandparents to engage in a fun, relaxed, and meaningful activity together. Through painting, they not only create beautiful artwork but also strengthen their connection, share stories, and explore their creative sides.”
She shared this about Mahtomedi Community Education, “One of the key strengths is its focus on connection and engagement within the community. I feel like these programs are often designed to address the specific needs and interests of local populations. Moreover, it's for all age groups and encourages lifelong learning.”
