Kaili Malvey

Congratulations to Mahtomedi High School Class of 2025 student, Kaili Malvey, on being named the 2025 Athena Award winner!

Kaili is a volleyball and track and field athlete. Academic achievements for Kaili include Academic Letters every year, and Honor Roll, including High Honors. Kaili’s school activities include Real World Design Challenge, Yearbook, Varsity Girls Basketball manager, and athletic Superfan. As a community volunteer, she shares her time volunteering in the community through the National Honor Society and as an assistant coach through the Mahtomedi Basketball Association. After graduation, Kaili will be attending Concordia College, Moorhead as a student athlete in both Volleyball and Track, studying Pre-Med.

Track and Field: Five Athletic Letters, Seven All Conference Awards, Two Honorable Mention All Conference Awards, Three All-State Awards, 4 MHS Top Individual Scorer for Metro-East Conference Championships - '21, '22, '23, '24, Academic All State, 2021 - State Competitor, 2023 - Section Meet Overall Top Scorer, State Competitor (x3), 2024 - Section Meet Overall Top Scorer, State Competitor (x2), 2025 Captain, and 2nd on the Mahtomedi Top 10 Records for Long Jump, High Jump, and Triple Jump.

The St. Paul Athena Awards program honors outstanding female high school seniors for their achievements in Minnesota State High School League athletics. The Athena award has been given since 1995 and honors one Athena athlete from each high school in the Twin Cities. The award is based on excellence in individual sports or for participation and accomplishments in team sports.
