Mahtomedi High School Class of 2015 alumna Zecky Sparrow, recently visited Wildwood Elementary School and taught students about germs and hand washing.”I thought it would be great to come back and give to the community,” Sparrow shared about the experience.
During the visit, Ms. Sparrow, gave a presentation about germs and the importance of handwashing, showed students germs on their hands using a special light, and demonstrated proper hand-washing techniques. Students also made handwashing books with coloring sheets.
Ms. Sparrow is pursuing her Bachelor of Science and Nursing degree at the School of Nursing at Herzing University. The project was part of her community and public health class and her certificate in public health license. She will finish her program in August and hopes to enter the intensive care unit nursing field.
