District Programs for Children with Disabilities-Birth through Kindergarten

Special Education Services for District 832 children with disabilities from birth through age six are provided by our Early Childhood Special Education Program team. The team includes Early Childhood Special Education Teachers, Educational Speech and Language Pathologists, a Psychologist, an Occupational Therapist and a Physical Therapist. Parents are also important members of the educational team.

The programs are located at The District Education Center as well as  Wildwood Elementary School (Preschool age 3- 2nd Grade) 8698 75th Street North, Stillwater, Minnesota 55082.  All Early Childhood Special Education staff office at Wildwood Elementary.

If a referral is received for children birth-age 2, an evaluation can take place at any time during the calendar year.  If your child is age 3 or older, evaluations take place during the regular school year when students are in session (September-beginning of June).
